Getting Connected at Rivertown Community Church means participating in a small group. They provide a setting to build relationships and apply Biblical principles to daily life. Small Groups allow RCC to grow larger and smaller at the same time.
What are the groups about? Our groups are as varied as we are; group leaders use their gifts and passions to create a group that allows others to join them in the process of learning God's word and applying it to life.
The group meeting includes the following: Prayer, Bible Study, Fun, Service in the Community. They are made up of 5-12 people who meet weekly in convenient locations in order to grow spiritually and develop meaningful relationships. They complete their topic by the end of semester, take a break from the meeting after each semester and food or snacks are a part of the group meetings. Each group leader decides childcare issues, and RCC does reimburse families for childcare expenses if needed.
When can I join one? New groups start three times a year—spring, summer, and fall semesters. You can simply find a group and sign up Sunday on the Connection Card or on our website!
How do I choose a group? Although groups have been placed in categories you can choose a group based on where you live, topic of interest, meeting time or stage of life. Since we are one Church with two campuses, you can pick any group no matter which campus you attend.
